Cookie Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This policy explains browser storage used by CallVani, operated by Nexadly Technologies Private Limited. Cookies and similar storage can contain identifiers or preferences even when they do not contain a person’s name.

1. Cookies and other browser storage

Cookies are small values a browser can send to the site. Local storage usually remains until removed or replaced; session storage is generally limited to the browser tab’s session. The names and lifetimes below describe the application’s current storage behavior, not a guarantee about every third-party service you may open.

2. Authentication and security

The application uses callvani_customer_session and callvani_admin_session to identify authenticated sessions in the relevant panel. It also recognizes the legacy vaani_session cookie for session migration. Authentication cookies are configured with a maximum lifetime of seven days; a server session can expire or be revoked earlier. They are HttpOnly, use SameSite=Lax and are Secure in production.

Blocking authentication cookies may prevent sign-in and access to protected features. Signing out invalidates the applicable session; simply closing a browser tab does not necessarily do so. A browser cookie’s maximum lifetime is separate from how long account or security records are retained on the server.

3. Interface preferences

The sidebar_state cookie remembers whether the sidebar is open and has a seven-day lifetime. Local storage named vaani.portal.locale remembers your selected language, and vaani.sound-preferences.v2 stores notification-sound preferences. These local preferences remain until changed or cleared rather than having a fixed server-session expiry.

Clearing these values can reset preferences without deleting your account or business records. Storage needed for sign-in and storage used for optional interface preferences serve different purposes; applicable consent requirements depend on the country and feature.

4. Feature-specific storage

Feedback and opinion-poll pages can retain a local submission receipt to help recognize an existing response. Billing uses session storage to avoid repeatedly showing a notice within the same session. Embedded lead forms can use session storage or a local timestamp to follow a once-per-session or once-in-seven-days display setting.

A receipt stored on your device does not prove that no corresponding response exists on the server. Removing browser storage is not a substitute for requesting deletion of submitted data. Customers embedding a form must explain its storage and obtain any required permissions on their own site.

5. Other services and your controls

Hosted checkout, sign-in and other external services may use their own cookies when you interact with them. Their policies apply to their storage. A customer’s analytics integration does not by itself mean a tracking cookie is installed on every visitor to CallVani. This policy does not authorize unlisted advertising trackers or replace any consent required before adding optional tracking.

Use browser settings to inspect, block or remove cookies and site storage. Some features may stop working when storage is blocked. Privacy requests can be raised through the routes in the Privacy Policy. The deployed site and any later storage changes must be reviewed so the notice remains accurate.
